About Me
Hi there! I’m Dr. Olivia Ivy, M.D., MPH. You can call me Ivy, or Olivia (she/her). As a board-certified physician specializing in Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy (GAHT), HIV Care, Addiction Medicine, and LGBTQ+ health, I’m here to provide evidence based, informed consent, judgment free care tailored to your unique needs. We offer HRT and the complete spectrum of services needed to help you live in the body and life you desire.

How it works
I do all my appointments by Telehealth. You can easily schedule an appointment with me here. Currently we serve adults physically located in Texas 18 and older who are not enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid due to federal laws. If you are seeking insurance or Medicare/Medicaid based services, I would suggest looking here or here.
Costs
To create a sustainable practice that respects patient autonomy and serves the needs of our community with educated providers from our community, we operate on a transparent, sliding scale, no insurance, pay what you can model.
The fee for the first intake visit is $300-400.
This covers the additional time needed for intake paperwork and account registration. It will include your inital HRT prescription, discussion of your goals, gender identity and medical history, follow up messaging, and management of your needs prior to your next appointment. For most patients, baseline labs are not needed and can be obtained at the first followup appointment. This visit is a full hour with me, a transgender M.D. specialized in gender affirming care.
Follow Up Visit: $200-$300.
This includes up to 3 months of prescriptions, lab reviews, and any management needed in between appointments. Generally we suggest patients obtain labs every three months, but we are happy to work with you based on your goals and health history. Follow up visits are approximately 30 minutes.
Surgical Referral Visit: $250-350
This fee covers the additional time needed to discuss the surgical referral process, writing of any needed physician letters, followup and annual renewal of letters ias needed, counseling on the surgical process, and administrative costs. This visit requires you to be an ongoing patient of our clinic due to insurance and legal requirements and must be performed following the initial intake visit.
Lab Fees
We partner with Rupa Labs, who provide transparent pricing and steep discounts by eliminating insurance middlemen and contracting with labs all over Texas. Most HRT patient labs cost as little as $20-40.
Medication Costs
Medications will be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice with appropriate insurance coding, or can be sent to our pharmacy partner for maximum discretion. You may choose to submit your medication costs to your HSA or FSA for reimbursement. Common HRT costs are around $15-100/month depending on individual treatment regimen and insurance coverage.
You can also ask about our Queer Family Discount! If you refer your partners or chosen family to us, you can both get a discount on your initial intake assessment or credit towards follow up appointments. Bring the whole polycule and save the money for your family fun.
Additional Services
Harm Reduction/Substance Use
I offer full spectrum treatment for addiction, including Suboxone management for Opioid Use Disorder and withdrawal management on an outpatient basis. I am committed to the personhood and autonomy of people who use drugs and stand against the criminalization of substance use. Substance use visits require monthly visits during initial induction and regular lab monitoring and may be spaced out on a case by case basis. Labs are not meant to be punitive and are used to help guide treatment decision in collaboration between the physician and the patient. Addiction visits are $200-300 and may be scheduled here.
Medical Marijuana Texas Compassionate Use Program (CURT)
Texas has a limited medical marijuana program that allows access to a small network of dispensaries limited to 1% THC by weight of full spectrum , full dose THC edibles and tinctures. For those with qualifying conditions, we offer simple visits for $100 which can be scheduled here. This program also provides some legal protection from a carceral system that disproportionately affects LGBT+ and POC individuals.
Tattoos
I also offer tattoos including gender affirming tattoos and scar cover ups for those in the Austin area which can be booked here.
Coming Soon: Aesthetic Services, Estrogen/Progesterone/Testosterone Pellet Implants, Pennsylvania GAC and Medical Marijuana Services

Why Me?
Deep Expertise
Years of experience ensuring safe, effective hormone prescriptions and informed consent based holistic support. No gatekeeping, just well managed HRT provided by a transgender woman who has decades of experience being both a patient and a provider in our system. Care from our community for our community.
No Red Tape
My practice is self-pay with transparent pricing – no insurance denials and no corporate investors dictating your care and rushing your visits. No surprises at the labs with clear itemized bills – we can work together to minimize your costs or track less commonly ordered biomarkers to maximize your data – you’re in charge!
Individualized Timely Care
No waitlist for care. As a private practice physician, I can take the time you deserve to hear your concerns and help you achieve all your gender goals. Schedule your own lab appointments and visits online on your own terms instead of waiting on hold with overburdened care systems.
Fierce Advocacy
I’ve fought for marginalized patients in the hostile climate of Texas. Your autonomy and dignity come first. I’m proudly queer and I come from a marginalized background with an unaccepting family. I came out in the 90s as a young child and I’ve spent my life living in punk houses and creating art with my amazing diverse and talented queer community. I am a tattoo artist and a sexual health care provider and I create a space where you can be your comfortable, authentic self.
No government grants with federal oversight, no conservative cries for professionalism and decorum, and no one else peeking in to your medical records.
We can do this together, without corporate medicine.
